James Woodward, aka J Woody, is a singer-songwriter based in Northern California, performing as a solo artist and band leader since the 1970s. With a repertoire of popular hits from our most beloved musicians, as well as original songs from two self-released albums featuring the talented Knotholes backing band, J Woody brings experience and a relaxed confidence to the stage. He plays a variety of styles, including folk, rock, country, blues, and Americana.
A show by J Woody will feature songs from Tom Petty, Neil Young, Van Morrison, James Taylor, Beatles, Credence, Bob Dylan, Rolling Stones, the Band, America, Grateful Dead, John Mellencamp, Eric Clapton, Jackson Browne, and other classic superstars. Original tunes, inspired by his musical idols—yet distinctly different—are sprinkled into the variety mix.
