ABOUT THE ALBUM
All original songs from a lifelong troubadour who can rock it, folk it, take you to the country, or lift you toward spiritual ideals. The music springs from an attitude that embraces both fun and the vicissitudes of real living.
“I call my first album a J Woody sampler because it features a variety of styles; it’s a song collection of many different genres and an homage to some of my musical heroes.”
“This is my first release… it took a long time to cook in all the quality I was committed to sharing with the world. All the songs are original; some are new and some I’ve been performing for decades. The genres are all over the place because I like to keep things interesting—for my audience and me. There’s rock and country, folk and Americana. My songwriting goal is authenticity, along with expressing something unique in the words and music. You’ll hear some whimsy, too, because I like to have fun! These songs feel authentic to me because each one offers a unique slice of my creativity. I enjoy playing them live and I think you’ll enjoy listening to this high quality recording.”
